La Liga champions Barcelona are primed to benefit from an expected piece of transfer business on the part of Catalan rivals Girona.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Mika Mármol as the player primed to take his talents to the Estadi Montilivi.
Stopper Mármol is for his part fresh off another solid individual season on the books of Las Palmas.
Los Amarillos’ eventual relegation to La Liga 2, however, has seen the future of the 24-year-old thrown up in the air.
Mármol himself is understood to be eyeing a new challenge back in the top-flight. And if the latest word stemming from Spain is anything to go by, as much could well be provided by Girona.
As per a report from Sport:
‘The Catalan team is close to closing the signing of Mika Mármol.’
In the case of the versatile defender’s Montilivi switch going through, primed to benefit on the monetary front, meanwhile, will be the aforementioned Barcelona.
As part of the terms which saw Mármol depart the Camp Nou back in 2022, the Blaugrana secured for themselves a 50% sell-on clause.
With Girona’s deal for the Spaniard expected to come in somewhere in the region of €5-6 million, Deco and co. can therefore look forward to a cash injection of €2.5-3 million.
