The brass at La Liga champions Barcelona are unwilling to meet the financial demands laid out by their Liverpool counterparts for chief transfer target Luis Díaz.
That’s according to COPE, who have on Monday provided an insight into the situation.
The name of wide-man Díaz has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines across Europe across the day to date.
This comes after reports stemming from Germany pointed towards the 28-year-old having agreed on the personal terms of a contract with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
News of as much has forced Barcelona to spring back into action, still reeling after missing out on the signature of Athletic Club’s Nico Williams.
If the latest word stemming from Spain on Monday evening is anything to go by, however, then the Blaugrana, as things stand, have no intention of meeting the price-tag slapped on Díaz’s head.
As per a report from COPE:
‘The Colombian footballer has a verbal agreement with Liverpool that would allow him to leave for around 82 million euros, a figure that Barça won’t agree to.’
