The board at La Liga champions Barcelona are ready to green light the permanent departure of a member of the club’s midfield ranks this summer.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who highlight Pablo Torre as the player in question.
Youngster Torre has for his part long been tipped for a Camp Nou exit.
Fresh off a frustrating campaign in Hansi Flick’s squad, which saw the 22-year-old notch a total of just 14 appearances, Torre is expected to move on in search of more regular senior minutes.
Previously, the assumption was that Torre’s transfer would come in the form of an initial loan.
As revealed by MD on Thursday, however, as much no longer appears to be on the cards.
Instead, it is noted:
‘The fact that Pablo Torre has a contract with Barça until June 30, 2026, rules out the option of a loan move this summer, as the club wants to make some money off him.’
Crucially, any such deal, though, will need to feature a buyback option, with Barcelona eager to maintain control over Torre’s long-term future.
RCD Mallorca, as things stand, are the club pushing hardest for the Spanish youth international’s signature.
