The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have made a call on their plans for incoming signing Roony Bardghji, with a view to next season.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Monday provided an insight into the situation.

Youngster Bardghji is of course expected to be unveiled as a new Barcelona player at any moment.

After being identified as a market opportunity on the part of Deco and co. ahead of the expiration of his contract with FC Copenhagen later this year, Barca swooped decisively to bring the 19-year-old to Spain.

So, just what is the plan for Bardghji in Catalunya’s capital?

The last couple of weeks had seen it suggested that the talented winger could be immediately farmed out on loan, potentially even back to Copenhagen.

The possibility of as much, however, has now been ruled out.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, instead:

‘The intention is for him to straddle Barcelona’s reserve team and the first team. Depending on how the transfer window goes, he’ll have a more prominent role in one squad or the other.’

Bardghji will be afforded a place in Hansi Flick’s squad for the Blaugrana’s upcoming pre-season tour of Asia, during which his readiness to contribute for the season ahead will be gauged.
