FC Barcelona have already secured the La Liga title and are now set to just play their final two games of the season. For the Catalan giants, there is no title left to play for this season. However, Hansi Flick will still want his Barcelona team to end the season as strongly as possible.

After all, this game against Villarreal will be one that the team will use to present the La Liga title to their fans at their home stadium. Moreover, even the opposition is expected to give Barcelona a guard of honour and a possible eleven of La Masia players could also be fielded in this game.

Here is how Barça could line up for this fixture.

Expected Line-up:

Goalkeeper: Inaki Pena

Despite a promising few weeks early on in the season, Inaki Pena saw his place in the team be taken over by Wojciech Szczesny. While his future remains uncertain, this game would be a good opportunity to let him start at least.

Right-back: Hector Fort

The young Spaniard had a few cameos this season and looked solid. This game would be a good opportunity for Hansi Flick to start him and give him the minutes he deserves.

Centre-back: Eric Garcia

A true hero for Barcelona this season in some massive games, Eric Garcia has more than earned his stay at the club. It seems likely that he could get a start in this game.

Centre-back: Pau Cubarsi

While it is true that Pau Cubarsi has played a lot of minutes already this season, this game is a good opportunity to place him alongside other La Masia players if Flick thinks it is worth it.

Left-back: Alejandro Balde

The electric full-back was missed by Barcelona when he was out injured, but he is now back and ready to deliver again. Moreover, it seems likely that he could get a start in this game.

CDM: Marc Casado

With Frenkie de Jong and Pedri having accumulated a lot of minutes this season, perhaps it is now time for Marc Casado to finally start as well. His tenacity and intensity are always a joy to behold on the pitch.

CDM: Gavi

The youngster has had a difficult season since returning from injury, and certain teams are being linked to him for the summer as well. However, Barcelona have no doubts about his quality and he continues to prove them right even in his cameo appearances.

RAM: Lamine Yamal

For Hansi Flick, Lamine Yamal has arguably been his most decisive player in most major games this season. His presence continues to spark hope in this team even when things look difficult, and having him in any starting eleven is always a positive.

He was excellent in the previous game for Barcelona and being for La Masia, he could be included in the starting eleven as well if Hansi Flick goes for it. Moreover, having his quality and experience would hardly be a bad idea.

LAM: Fermin Lopez

The Spaniard has showcased his ability to make an impact in recent games, so perhaps this is the moment to start him. For the young Spaniard, it is crucial to get some minutes considering the quality that he has.

This could very well be Ansu Fati’s last ever appearance at home for Barcelona if he does end up starting or featuring. He will want to leave things on a good note if that is true, but there is nothing guaranteed in the world of football.
