The board at La Liga champions Barcelona have made clear that they are not prepared to meet the asking price set out by Manchester United for Marcus Rashford.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Friday provided an insight into the situation.
Wide-man Rashford has of course been hotly tipped for a move to the Camp Nou this summer.
This comes with the Englishman featuring prominently on the shortlist of winger targets drawn up by Deco and co.
The main problem for Rashford himself in his pursuit of a Barcelona switch is the fact that he sits behind both Nico Williams and Luis Díaz in the Blaugrana’s attacking target pecking order.
And as alluded to above, on Friday, a second stumbling block towards a deal for the 27-year-old has been confirmed.
Manchester United, it is understood, would be willing to negotiate Rashford’s sale for a fee in the region of €30 million.
As per MD, however, this is ‘a price Barça are unwilling to assume’.
