According to a recent report from David Bernabeu in SPORT, Barcelona are keeping a close eye on Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush.
The outlet mentions that Barcelona president Joan Laporta is keen to make a high-profile signing that would thrill fans and strengthen the squad ahead of the team’s return to the iconic Camp Nou and the upcoming 2026 elections.
In that regard, his goal is to secure a reliable centre-forward who could eventually replace Robert Lewandowski in the long run. While the top target for this role is Erling Haaland, Barcelona’s ongoing financial constraints make such an ambitious transfer challenging.
Given this, the club’s management is already exploring more affordable alternatives. One name that stands out is Omar Marmoush, who currently plays for Eintracht Frankfurt.
Marmoush has been in fantastic form in the Bundesliga, tied with Harry Kane as the league’s top scorer with 11 goals.

In addition to his goal-scoring ability, he has contributed seven assists and has netted three additional goals in the Europa League and DFB-Pokal competitions.
Barcelona’s management values Marmoush for his versatility and attacking flair. Capable of playing in all three forward positions, he could fit into the team either as a centre-forward or as a left-winger, a position Barcelona are also looking to bolster.
His market value currently stands at around €40 million, but reports from Germany indicate Frankfurt values him at approximately €45 million. This price range would make Marmoush a much more affordable option for Barcelona compared to other big-name players.
Interestingly, the journalist also mentioned that Marmoush is represented by the CAA Stellar agency, which also manages Barcelona midfielder, Fermin Lopez, giving the club a potentially advantageous connection.
However, competition for Marmoush’s signature is heating up, as Bayern Munich and Liverpool are also interested in acquiring the Egyptian forward.
