Barcelona midfielder Pablo Torre is on the verge of completing a summer move to La Liga side Mallorca.
The 22-year-old is expected to join Jagoba Arrasate’s squad in a deal worth €5 million for 50% of his rights. The paperwork is already in progress, and once the final details are sorted, the transfer will be official.
His intention to join the La Liga outfit became even clearer after a social media gesture that fans quickly picked up on.
Torre liked an Instagram post from the account @aficionrcdm, which showed a predicted starting XI for Mallorca next season.
In that lineup, he was featured as the starting playmaker alongside Samu Costa and Sergi Darder.
This simple ‘like’ added fuel to the rumours and strongly hinted at where his future lies. The timing also makes sense, with Mallorca’s preseason kicking off on July 10, a date by which Torre is expected to be officially unveiled as a new signing.
Interestingly, the same mockup that featured Torre also included Roony Bardghji. The Swedish talent is set to become Barcelona’s second signing of the summer after Joan Garcia.
Bardghji has already passed part of his medical, and an official announcement is expected soon.
While Bardghji will begin preseason with the first team, Deco and Hansi Flick are open to sending him out on loan if he doesn’t meet expectations.
Mallorca have already expressed interest in the winger, and they were among the first clubs to ask for him if a loan becomes an option.
All signs now point towards Torre joining Mallorca in the coming days, marking a fresh chapter in his career with a club that clearly values his potential.
