Barcelona star Marc Casadó has confirmed that he would be willing to try his arm in a new position in Hansi Flick’s XI.
The role in question? Full-back.
Youngster Casadó has for his part of course played a starring role for Barcelona across the early months of the new campaign.
Taking full advantage of an injury crisis in the Blaugrana’s engine room, the 21-year-old has gone on to establish himself as one of the first names on the team sheet of boss Flick.
Casadó has shone on both sides of the ball, with his stellar passing abilities evidenced by an impressive haul of five assists from the base of midfield.
And yet, it is the Spaniard’s relentless work when out of possession which has endeared him to the Barca faithful the world over.
Casadó is nothing short of dogged on the defensive side of the ball, combining a supreme work-rate and bite in the tackle with a fine reading of the game.
Speaking to the media on the back of his maiden senior Spain call this week, the starlet was therefore asked whether there is another position on the pitch in which he would ‘like’ to line out.
And, during an interview with Mundo Deportivo, Casadó did not hesitate in responding:
“Full-back.”
