Barcelona intertested in a potential move to sign Monaco’s Vanderson | OneFootball

According to L’Équipe, Monaco right-back Vanderson (23) is subject of potential interest from Barcelona this summer. The La Liga champions have expressed an interest in recruiting the Brazilian full-back before the new season begins.

Despite the Catalan club expressing an initial interest in acquiring Vanderson’s services, the materialisation of any potential bid is not expected to be forthcoming in the near future. The Blaugrana are currently focused on other targets, like Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams, and with other targets being prioritised, the Spanish side would likely have to generate funds through sales before being able to act upon their interest in the 23-year-old.

Vanderson could be one of many through the exit door at Les Monégasques this summer. Liverpool have previously been linked with a move for the Brazilian international as they searched for a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold. However, the Premier League champions opted to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong instead.
