Barcelona ‘have a plan’ to sign Liverpool star this summer | OneFootball

The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona have put in place plans to attempt to land a headline member of the attacking ranks at Liverpool this summer.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Luis Díaz as the player in question.

It is of course common knowledge that the transfer team in Catalunya’s capital have identified the left wing in Xavi’s squad as being in need of reinforcements ahead of next season.

In turn, a whole host of high-profile names have been linked with Barca, including the likes of Nico Williams, Dani Olmo, and Pepê.

And, as alluded to above, this week, a fresh name has been added to this list.

As per the aforementioned MD, ‘Luis Díaz is the winger most desired by Barcelona’.

The Colombian international is understood to be held in high regard by Blaugrana boss Xavi, and sporting director Deco alike.

Crucially, Díaz is himself also eager to take his talents to the Camp Nou, a fact made clear by his father in the not-so-distant past.

An assault on his signature, in turn, is being readied by Barcelona.

Sales will first be required, with Raphinha considered the most likely exit to free up space in the frontline at the La Liga heavyweights.

And, in the case of the necessary funds being secured, ‘Barca has a plan to try to sign Díaz because they have information that the player is up for the job’.
