Barcelona fans highlight club legend’s iconic quote after Nico Williams rejection | OneFootball

Widespread members of the fanbase at La Liga giants Barcelona have on Friday taken solace in a quote on the part of club legend Johann Cruyff.

This comes after the Blaugrana found themselves rejected by the club’s chief summer transfer target.

The subject of transfers, or rather failed ones, has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital across the day to date.

As much comes after Athletic Club star Nico Williams, out of the blue, pulled the plug on his Camp Nou switch, to instead put pen to paper on a new long-term deal in Bilbao.

The news has gone down understandably poorly in Barcelona, with the 22-year-old having already reached an agreement on the personal terms of a contract with the Spanish champions.

As alluded to above, though, many of a Blaugrana persuasion have since highlighted a quote once laid out by the legendary Johann Cruyff, to ease collective disappointment.

”If you have second thoughts on playing for Barcelona, you are no longer of service to us,” the Dutch icon once said.
