Barcelona close to tying down their ‘9 of the future’ | OneFootball

One of the most highly-regarded young prospects on the books of La Liga giants Barcelona is closing to committing his future to the club.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Friday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

The player ready to pen fresh terms with Barcelona, it is understood, comes in the form of Óscar Gistau.

Gistau, for his part, is a 16-year-old centre-forward, who has long been turning heads at youth level.

Despite his tender years, the frontman has spent the season to date lining out between Barca’s Juvenil B and Juvenil A sides.

And, across 35 such appearances to date, Gistau has racked up a head-turning 15 goals.

An explosive performer boasting technical and physical qualities in equal measure, the Spaniard is labelled as Sport as the Blaugrana’s ‘9 of the future’.

All associated with the Catalan giants, as a result, will no doubt be delighted to hear that Gistau’s future is close to being secured.

Negotiations are ongoing between the player’s entourage and the board at the Camp Nou, over the terms of his first professional contract.

Gistau, despite widespread interest in his services, only has eyes for Barcelona, with all parties therefore ‘willing and ready to close an agreement’.
