Several members of the board at La Liga champions Barcelona early this week sat down for a round of talks with high-profile lawyer and agent Raúl Costa.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Tuesday provided an insight into the situation.
The summer transfer deadline is of course fast-approaching for clubs across the continent. This includes those in Spain, who will see the window slam shut on September 1st.
Many sides, in turn, remain hard at work in efforts to bring in reinforcements for the campaign ahead.
The aforementioned Barcelona are one club who were widely assumed to be finished when it comes to additions to their first-team ranks, having reinforced key areas of Hansi Flick’s already star-studded squad.
But as alluded to above, this has not stopped key Blaugrana figures from this week holding a meeting with agent Raúl Costa.
As per a report from Sport:
‘Barça’s sporting director, Deco, met today with Raúl Costa, lawyer and agent of the renowned AS1 agency, a company that represents top-level figures such as Luis Díaz and Rúben Amorim.’
Not only that, but this sit-down was later followed by another, which also saw Barca president Joan Laporta in attendance.
It is currently unclear what the central talking point of the discussions was.
