Lautaro Martinez has received criticism for his wastefulness in front of goal in yesterday’s Serie A clash between Juventus and Inter Milan.

The player ratings across Italian media, via TuttoMercatoWeb, suggest that the Argentine was “back to his old tricks” from the first half of the season.

Inter captain Lautaro Martinez was not able to find the back of the net in yesterday’s Derby d’Italia clash with Juventus.

And it was not for any lack of chances. Particularly in the first half, the 27-year-old had some excellent opportunities to score from.

However. in the big moments, Martinez was lacking the right composure and technique.

Martinez’s overall performance was of the usual level that he’s set for himself. That is the consensus within Italian media.

The Argentine has certainly proven that he’s capable of giving a lot to the team even when he scores goals.

And this was not necessarily the same Martinez. Who looked physically out of sorts in the first few matches of the season.

But it was certainly the Martinez from the autumn.

The Inter captain has never had the best of records against Juventus.
