Atlético Madrid youngster agrees move to another La Liga club | OneFootball

A member of the goalkeeper ranks at Atlético Madrid has agreed on the terms of a deal with La Liga newcomers Elche.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who highlights Alejandro Iturbe as the player in question.

Iturbe, for his part, is a 21-year-old goalkeeper, who has long been held in high regard across the Spanish football landscape.

The youngster is a regular for La Roja at youth level, hailed in particular for his reflexes and shot-stopping capabilities.

Iturbe has spent the entirety of his career to date on the books of the aforementioned Atlético, after joining the Rojiblancos all the way back in 2010.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media this weekend is anything to go by, then the ‘keeper looks set to bring a close to his time as an Atléti player over the coming weeks.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:

‘Understand Elche have agreed deal to sign Alejandro Iturbe as new goalkeeper from Atlético Madrid. Despite receiving several offers from other clubs, the Spain U21 goalkeeper will make his La Liga debut season. Atlético Madrid will retain 50% of the player’s rights.’
