Atletico Madrid make attempt for Milan’s Ismael Bennacer | OneFootball

Spanish giants Atletico Madrid have made an attempt to sign Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer.

Milan were trying to offload Bennacer this summer and they haven’t succeeded so far, with Manu Kone now also joining Roma instead of the Rossoneri.

In the meantime, Atletico Madrid’s interest has cropped up for the Algerian. MilanNews have reported that they have gone beyond simply being interested and have made an offer.

They have offered an expensive initial loan deal with the option to buy or obligation on the basis of conditions. If this goes ahead, it can allow them to make one last attempt for Kone and they could move on to sign Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer, with Bennacer’s exit likely to hand them fresh financial resources.

Bennacer’s performances have dipped since he recovered from an ACL injury and there were links with Saudi clubs as well, but they haven’t come forward for the Algerian.
