The powers that be at La Liga giants Atlético Madrid have already wrapped up a deal for the club’s first signing of the summer transfer window.

That’s according to Marca, who point towards Robin Le Normand as the player in question.

Defender Le Normand has of course long taken his place front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital.

As much comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the 27-year-old has been identified as Atlético’s priority target with a view to next season.

The Rojiblancos are eager to add to their options at centre-back with at least one new body this summer, with Le Normand considered the ideal profile.

Negotiations, in turn, have long been kicked into gear between the brass at the Wanda Metropolitano, and their counterparts at Real Sociedad.

And, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, as much have in fact already borne fruit.

As per the aforementioned Marca:

‘The player will wear the red and white as agreed two weeks ago. There is no problem in the conditions with the player nor between clubs, in an operation that will be around 30 million euros.’
