Aston Villa defender Patten signs new three-year deal | OneFootball

Aston Villa defender Anna Patten has signed a new three-year deal with the club.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Villans this evening.

The 26-year-old centre-back initially joined Aston Villa on loan from Arsenal in January 2022. The player impressed in the Midlands and she returned for a second loan spell in the 2022/2023 season. Aston Villa finally added Patten to their squad on a permanent basis in summer 2023.  The defender has established herself as a key member of the team and she is set to reach the 100th-appearance milestone this season.

Patten’s Aston Villa career continues to go from strength-to-strength and the club have therefore moved to secure her services for the long-term.

After signing on with Aston Villa until summer 2028, Patten said “I’m really excited. Obviously, I’ve spent three-and-a-half years here and signing for three more, Villa’s becoming a home for me now.

“I feel really respected here and I know where I stand in the Club. I feel like I can perform for this Club and I feel very comfortable here. When I feel comfortable, I feel I play my best football.”
