Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided a fresh injury update ahead of the Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
The Gunners recently registered a 3-2 home win over the Eagles in the Carabao Cup quarter-final. They trailed 1-0 at the interval but made a terrific comeback.
The club dominated proceedings in the second half and triumphed by a 3-2 scoreline after a maiden club hat-trick for Gabriel Jesus. Arsenal will now visit Selhurst Park tomorrow.
Arteta has confirmed that Declan Rice will be back in the squad after a minor knock, while Riccardo Calafiori has recovered from his groin problem (via football.london).
He will be hoping that the club can build another winning streak in the English top-flight.
Arsenal have lost their way recently with back-to-back draws against Fulham and Everton. They need a much better showing at Selhurst Park this weekend.
Palace won’t be easy opponents. The Gunners were troubled by the Eagles in the first half in midweek but stepped things up after the break.
The Eagles are in good league form with nine points from the last five outings, and Arsenal must be at their best to come on top with another victory.
The return of Rice and Calafiori is a big plus for the Gunners, and they will likely be in the starting XI.
