Arsenal’s 8 Euro 2024 call-ups so far + who’s still waiting | OneFootball

Jorginho is the latest Arsenal player to be called up to one of the preliminary squads for Euro 2024, with the Italy squad now confirmed.

Italy confirmed a provisional 30-player squad for Euro 2024 on Thursday, with the squad to be cut to a final 26 by the deadline of June 7th.

Before that, Italy will play a friendly against Turkey on Tuesday, June 4th, after which Luciano Spalletti will need to make his final decisions.

For the time being, Arsenal’s Jorginho is involved in the provisional squad, looking to help his team lift the trophy once again.

The midfielder did drop out of the Italy squad for a couple of breaks at the start of this season, amid his limited minutes for Arsenal. But he returned to the side in November and March, and he’ll now be involved again in June.

Arsenal Euro 2024 potential and confirmed call-ups

Group A

Kai Havertz has been called up by Germany and Kieran Tierney by Scotland. The two will face off against each other in the tournament’s opening game on June 14th at 20:00 BST.

Group B

Jorginho has been called up by Italy. David Raya should receive a Spain call-up too, though he’s unlikely to play ahead of Unai Simon.

Group C

Aaron Ramsdale, Bukayo Saka, and Declan Rice have all been called up by England, with Saka and Rice likely starters.

Arsenal loan striker Mika Biereth is technically eligible for Denmark and in excellent form, but he’s yet to make his senior international debut and this is an unlikely time for him to get it.

Group D

William Saliba has been called up by France, and Jakub Kiwior will hope to be involved with Poland. Jurrien Timber has been left out by the Netherlands, still yet to return to first-team football after his ACL injury.

Group E

Oleksandr Zinchenko has been called up by Ukraine, and Leandro Trossard is likely to start for Belgium.

Albert Sambi Lokonga is also eligible for Belgium, but his recent injuries and the fact he hasn’t been involved with the national team for a while make it unlikely he’ll get a call-up.
