Mikel Arteta wants to sign a quality left-sided winger this summer, and Gordon would be an excellent addition. He has proven himself in the Premier League with Newcastle, and there is no doubt that he has the quality to play for the biggest clubs in the country.

The 24-year-old has 9 goals and 7 assists to his name they season. He is capable of operating on either flank, and he will add pace, flair and goals to the side.

The England international is still relatively young, and he could improve further with coaching and experience. Playing alongside top-quality players that Arsenal will help him improve further. Mikel Arteta could play a key role in his development as well.

Signing the Newcastle player would allow Arteta to rotate players like  Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka. It will be interesting to see if Arsenal are willing to pay a premium for him.

They need to improve the other areas of their squad as well, and spending over the odds on the English winger might not be ideal.

The player has a contract with Newcastle until 2:00 1030 and the Magpies are under no pressure to sell. They are likely to demand a substantial amount of money for the player.

Gordon has been linked with clubs like Liverpool, and it remains to be seen whether he decides to force an exit in the summer.

The opportunity to play for Arsenal can be quite exciting. They have been fighting for the league title this season, and they are in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League. They will be an attractive destination for players in the summer.

Gordon is well settled in the Premier League, and he could make an instant impact if he joins the London club. He could transform them in the attack and help them win major trophies.

Newcastle are one of the wealthiest clubs in the world and convincing them to sell a key player will be difficult. Furthermore, they are likely to secure Champions League qualification for the next season and that could convince the player to stay put.
