The next opponent who stands in Real Madrid’s way to a 16th UEFA Champions League crown is Arsenal and it is safe to say that it will be a massive fight over two legs to get to the final four.
The Gunners, after all, are second on the Premier League standings only below Liverpool and have been largely impressive this season under Mikel Arteta.
One familiar face for Real Madrid in the Arsenal camp, needless to say, is Martin Odegaard who has been at the Valdebebas since 2015 and eventually signed for Arsenal in 2021 after six long years on repeated loans.
Speaking to the media, the Arsenal superstar was asked who he thought was the best player in the world, to which he did not hesitate in naming a Real Madrid star.
“Best player in the world? Vini Jr,” he said (h/t The Madrid Zone).

He was then asked to name any player he would like to sign for Arsenal to join him, and his response did not change in the slightest.
“A player I would like to sign for Arsenal from Real Madrid? Vini Jr.”
His choice to pick the Brazilian international is no surprise, especially given how decisive Vinicius has been for Real Madrid in recent years even on the biggest of stages.
Last season, he helped Los Blancos to both the La Liga title and the UEFA Champions League crown with his grit and trickery and was rightfully named FIFA’s Best Men’s Player.
This term, however, Vinicius has slightly struggled especially with the arrival of Kylian Mbappe who has taken over the role of being the protagonist for Los Blancos.
With the business end of the season yet to come, however, one can be sure Vinicius will step his game up and rediscover his best form. After all, he has always been one to thrive under pressure.
