Arsenal should explore a deal for Wolverhampton Wanderers star Matheus Cunha when the transfer window reopens in January.
The Gunners have had a frustrating start to the Premier League campaign. They are currently fourth in the table with a nine-point gap to leaders Liverpool.
Arsenal have no room for error and must build a winning streak in the coming weeks to reduce the deficit to the top.
They have been tipped to sign a new centre-forward since the summer and should splash the cash during the winter transfer window.
Kai Havertz has netted seven goals this season, but Gabriel Jesus has failed to impress. He has not scored in the league.
The Gunners ideally need an upgrade on the duo, and Cunha would be a perfect fit.
The Brazil international has the ability to play anywhere in the final third, but he has been most impressive as a centre-forward or in the number ten position.
Arsenal require a dynamic striker, and Cunha has all the traits to become an elite marksman.
He is good with the ball at his feet and averages almost two successful dribbles per game. He also has the ability to win regular duels and make recoveries.
Arsenal have a long-term interest in Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, but Cunha would be an equally good signing and could be recruited in January.
Wolves purchased the 25-year-old for £44 million last year. A package of around £60m could test their resolve, given their financial problems.
