Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez has been linked with both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal this season, and the centre-forward got a good luck at both teams during Sunday’s north London derby.

Gimenez was in the stands for the match, and he shared pictures of his attendance on social media afterwards.

The player’s agent and family were also in attendance, sharing clips on Instagram as the Gunners beat their local rivals 3-2.

Reports have linked Arsenal with Gimenez since early in the current campaign, when Portuguese outlet O Jogo claimed the Gunners were in the process of scouting the striker.

The Evening Standard later confirmed that Arsenal had been scouting Gimenez, but it doesn’t seem like the interest has progressed much further than that.

Feyenoord sources have previously spoken out to deny receiving any formal offer from Arsenal, despite various claims in the media back in the player’s home country of Mexico.

If Arsenal really are interested in signing Gimenez this summer, then their win over Spurs can’t have done much to harm their chances. Whilst if the links to Spurs are accurate, at least he’s been given a warning of what to expect with his new club.

Gimenez has scored 24 goals in 40 games for Feyenoord this season, as well as providing seven assists.

The 23-year-old has four goals in 25 matches (11 starts) for the Mexican national team.
