Earlier in the day, it was reported that Real Madrid could be willing to part ways with Rodrygo to potentially weigh a move for Nico Williams.
The Athletic Club winger has emerged as a shock target for Los Blancos, who are looking for attacking reinforcements in the coming summer.
But in order to fund a move for Williams, Real Madrid would require a substantial funding, which in turn, could lead to the exit of Rodrygo.
The Brazilian has been linked with a move away from Santiago Bernabeu for almost a year now and after a disappointing 2024/25 campaign, those rumours may only gain strength.
Now, according to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Arsenal are seriously considering a move for Rodrygo in the coming summer.
Plettenberg adds that talks have already started taking place behind the scenes, as Arsenal look to reinforce their ranks in the offensive unit.

Although Arsenal have performed exceptionally this season, they have once again fallen behind another Premier League club.
To avoid another second-placed finish next season, Arsenal are ready to add more quality in attack, which has been identified as a problem area.
The Gunners, therefore, are mulling a move for Rodrygo, who could be an excellent offensive partner to the likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli, among others.
Plettenberg adds that Rodrygo is indeed a departure candidate at Real Madrid. Although the deal to sign the Braziian could prove to be tough, especially if Los Blancos hold out for a fortune, Arsenal are exploring every possible solution.
It must be noted that Chelsea, too, are interested in the services of Rodrygo, so it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the young attacker this summer.
