There appears no room to host Crystal Palace in the quarter-final clash
Arsenal are facing a huge fixture headache in December after reaching the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.
The Gunners swept aside Preston North End on Wednesday night to reach the last eight, where they were drawn at home to Crystal Palace for a place in the semi-finals.
The quarter-final fixtures are due to be played on either Tuesday, December 17 or Wednesday, December 18.
Palace were due to face rivals Brighton in the Premier League on the evening of Monday, December 16, but that game has now been brought forward a 2pm kick-off on Sunday, December 15 to make room for the cup game. Bournemouth vs West Ham has moved to the Monday Night Football slot.
However, that would still appear to rule out a Tuesday evening game, given the tight two-day turnaround for Palace, but the Emirates Stadium is due to host Arsenal Women's Champions League clash with Bayern Munich on the Wednesday evening.
The women’s team play all of their Champions League games at the Emirates, along with eight of their 11 home Women’s Super League games.
Tickets for the Bayern game have been on sale for over a month, though the game cannot be moved as Meadow Park, where the women’s team play the rest of their home games, does not meet UEFA’s stadium regulations.
A Thursday date is also not an option as Palace are due to host Arsenal two days later on the evening of Saturday, December 21.
