Arsenal are considering a shock move for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga this summer according to reports.

The Blues are set for another busy summer and have already completed the signing of Liam Delap with more new faces set to arrive at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea face a critical window and as well as wanting a centre back and right back to bolster Enzo Maresca’s they are also looking to offload a number of players.

Arsenal interested in Kepa

Chelsea could look to sell as many as ten players this summer with a number of squad members surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.

Kepa falls into that category and the 30-year-old spent the season on loan at Bournemouth where he made 35 appearances in all competitions and impressed for Andoni Iraola’s side.

Bournemouth were said to have made Kepa their number one target, but as of yet there’s seemingly been no progress on a move to the south coast.

It’s been reported the Cherries have a £5m clause to sign Kepa on a permanent, but the Spain international is also attracting interest from elsewhere.

However, Sky Sport journalist Luca Bendoni has reported Arsenal are considering a shock move for the Spaniard.

He took to X.com and said:

“Arsenal are considering a potential deal for Chelsea’s GK Kepa Arrizabalaga, who is available for a £5m release clause, per English sources.”

Chelsea looking to sign Mike Maignan

With Kepa heading to the Stamford Bridge exit door the Blues are looking to complete a deal for AC Milan’s Mike Maignan.

Maignan is believed to have told Milan he wants to join Chelsea, but the two clubs are still someway apart in valuation.

Chelsea would like to get a deal done before the Club World Cup deadline on June 10th, but if all goes to plan the France international will become club’s new number one.
