Arsenal & Bayern Munich ready to battle for signature of Athletic Club star | OneFootball

Two of European football’s leading clubs have set their sights on the signature of a member of the attacking ranks at La Liga outfit Athletic Club.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Nico Williams as the player in question.

Wide-man Nico, of course, has long been a man in demand in his home country of Spain.

For almost the entirety of last summer’s transfer window, Barcelona, for one, actively sought out the 22-year-old’s signing.

In the end, no such transfer was forthcoming. But interest in Nico’s services now appears to be stronger than ever.

As per a report from the aforementioned Fabrizio Romano, both Arsenal and Bayern Munich are keen to land the gifted winger with a view to next season.

So much so that Nico is considered the ‘top target’ of the two clubs this summer.

It is also noted, though, that the intention of the brass at Athletic Club is to offer their star wide-man a new-and-improved contract.
