Franco Mastantuono is one of the most coveted young talents coming through the South American footballing scenes.
The 17-year-old wonderkid has already become a regular starter for Argentine giants River Plate despite his tender age and is shining brightly game after game.
Naturally, the who’s who of Europe have taken note of talents, including Real Madrid, who had been in talks to sign the teenager last year but called off their pursuit after his agent used the interest to secure a new contract at River Plate.
Despite the breakdown of relations between the Merengues and Mastantuono’s representatives, the sporting director Santiago Solari is still pushing the club to sign the 17-year-old versatile attacking midfielder.
Now, according to Nicolas Distasio of ESPN Argentina, Mastantuono is ‘in love’ with Real Madrid and is prioritising a transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu over all other suitors.
One such interested party in the youngster happen to be French champions and UEFA Champions League finalists PSG.

The Parisian giants are understood to be the only club willing to activate Mastantuono’s release clause, which stands at €45 million.
Despite their strong interest and willingness, it appears that the player is leaning towards a transfer to Real Madrid and is giving the Spanish capital giants the top priority.
The question now remains is whether Real Madrid are willing to reactivate contact with Mastantuono’s camp after how things ended last time.
A versatile operator capable of playing in multiple positions in the attacking third with vision and a keen eye for goal, Mastantuono has displayed exceptional potential.
The 17-year-old fits the profile of players that Los Blancos tend to sign in recent years. But there will be some reluctance from the club’s side to meet his €45 million release clause, something that PSG are willing to do.
