Anwar El Ghazi will almost certainly continue his career at Valencia, De Telegraaf confirmed Monday, citing sources close to the Spanish club.
The 30-year-old winger has reached an agreement on a one-year contract with the La Liga club after leaving Cardiff City.
The former Ajax and PSV winger made 27 appearances for the club, which was relegated from the Championship. During that time, he scored three goals and provided two assists.
El Ghazi becomes the sixth Dutch player to play in La Liga. Arnaut Danjuma (Valencia), Frenkie de Jong (Barcelona), Donny van de Beek and Daley Blind (Girona), and Jozhua Vertrouwd (Rayo Vallecano) preceded him.
El Ghazi also previously played for LOSC Lille, Aston Villa, Everton, and FSV Mainz 05. The two-time Dutch international is expected to make his debut in Saturday’s season opener against Real Sociedad.
