Cagliari have reportedly gotten back ahead of Parma in the race to sign Inter Milan striker Sebastiano Esposito.
This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, via FCInterNews.
The past couple days have seen a real tug-of-war emerge regarding Inter striker Sebastiano Esposito.
It has always seemed clear that the Italy Under-21 international would leave Inter for good this summer.
Esposito has gone out on a string of loan moves. Last season he was on loan at Empoli.
But this summer, Inter are keen to sell Esposito outright once and for all.

A few clubs in Serie A have shown an interest in Esposito’s signature. Fiorentina have been sounding out a deal for the 23-year-old for a number of weeks.
However, two clubs have been pushing to sign Esposito in the last few days.
Cagliari have been in talks with Inter this week. They’re pushing to finally wrap up a deal for Esposito.
However, yesterday Parma reportedly also looked to hijack the Rossoblu’s deal, which had hit a couple snags.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, however, Cagliari have returned to the table. The Sardinian club are now back in pole position to sign Esposito in what has become a surprisingly twisty transfer saga.
