Angers consider move for Lens’ Hervé Koffi | OneFootball

SCO Angers are considering a move for RC Lens goalkeeper Hervé Koffi (28), according to a report from Mohamed Toubache-Ter.

Koffi, in the wake of Brice Samba’s departure, failed to establish himself as the No.1 at Lens. Samba’s move to Stade Rennais in the middle of the season opened up a window of opportunity for Koffi to seize a spot in the first team, but a string of sub-par performances saw the club instead opt to dip into the market to sign a new goalkeeper in the form of Mathew Ryan.

Koffi, therefore, has made just six appearances for Lens this season and he could be on the move. Toubache-Ter understands that he is being lined up for Angers, who may be bracing themselves for interest in Yahia Fofana, who has had a strong season for Le Sco.

Les Sang et Or, in any case, are looking to sign two goalkeepers this summer, according to Toubahce-Ter. Such recruitment would also put Ryan’s future at the club in doubt.
