Angelo Gabriel joins Chelsea from Santos | OneFootball

Chelsea have completed the signing of Angelo Gabriel Santos.

The 18 year old has been quite the prodigy so far – he has 129 first team appearances despite his tender years. He broke the Brazilian too fight record as the youngest player in its history three years ago when he played as a 15 year old. He is also the youngest scorer in the history of the Copa Libertadores, the South American equivalent of the Champions League.

A left footed winger who plays off the right, it’s not clear what his immediate future is. There is some talk that he will head directly to our new sister club Strasbourg on loan, but given how many sales there have been in the first team, it’s also possible he sticks around and plays a role in the first team this season.

There’s also the potential he spends 6 months in the development team and then goes on loan in January.
