Having played over 600 times for Barcelona, Iniesta has 57 goals to his name for the Catalan club in all competitions.

The emotional video shared by Iniesta on social media contains messages from several of the midfielder’s coaches during his illustrious career, including Luis Enrique, Pep Guardiola, Louis Van Gaal and Vincente del Bosque.

The video also closes with a message from Iniesta’s father who says ‘If I had to do the same thing we did, I’d do it all over again.’

With nine La Liga titles, as well as four Champions Leagues and six Copas del Rey, Iniesta is one of the most decorated players in the history of the Spanish game.

Despite the fact that the midfielder spent the last few years of his career playing overseas, Iniesta will be sorely missed by the scores of fans of both Barcelona and Spanish football as a whole who have grown to know and love him.

Thank you, Andrés, for helping an awful lot of us fall in love with Spanish football.
