Alphonso Davies speaks out on Real Madrid links after Bayern’s UCL exit | OneFootball

Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies was tonight drawn on the ongoing speculation linking him with a move to Spain with Real Madrid.

As much, of course, comes fresh off the latest high-profile showdown between the two clubs on the continent.

Real acted as hosts on Wednesday, in welcoming Bayern to the Santiago Bernabéu for the 2nd leg of their Champions League semi-final tie.

And, when all was said and done, it was Los Blancos who emerged triumphant, courtesy of a late turnaround sparked by substitute Joselu.

Prior to as much, though, it was the aforementioned Davies who had proven himself the difference-maker.

Cutting in from his berth on the left flank midway through the 2nd-half, Canadian international Davies directed an unstoppable effort beyond Andriy Lunin in the hosts’ net.

Many have since pointed towards as much as having been part of an ‘audition’ on the part of the 23-year-old.

This of course comes amid long-standing rumours linking Davies with a move to none other than Real Madrid.

Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of precisely as much was put to Bayern’s explosive full-back himself.

And Davies did not exactly do much to play links with the La Liga champions down, in responding:

“Will I play here at the Bernabéu? Right now, my agent is talking to Bayern… Whatever happens, I’m very grateful to Bayern.”
