Allegri Confidant Says He Won’t Be the Next Milan Coach

Massimiliano Allegri is currently considered one of the top candidates to take over the Milan bench in the summer, but his mentor, Giovanni Galeone, quashed the recent reports talking to Radio Kiss Kiss.

“In our last phone call, he said to me that it wasn’t true that he would go there and that he hasn’t had any contact with them.”

The former coach also warned Napoli about the future of Antonio Conte.

“They should pay attention to Juventus, as I don’t think his story with them is over yet. Even should he take home the Scudetto, it’s not certain he would stay. He left the Bianconeri and Inter after winning.”

Milan have been attached to a few coaches already besides Allegri, but they’ll hire a new director first. The meetings between the candidates and their CEO Giorgio Furlani have started. The ex-Old Lady boss might have better chances if the choice fell on Fabio Paratici, who’s the frontrunner at the moment.
