Alisson takes swipe at Nottingham Forest following shock win against Liverpool | OneFootball

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson claimed his side "didn't deserve to lose" against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

A second-half goal from substitute Callum Hudson-Odoi was all that separated the two teams this weekend as Forest ran out surprise 1-0 winners at Anfield.

Speaking to the press post-match, Alisson vented his frustration at Forest's tactics, though conceded that the visitors defended resolutely.

"Losing a game at home in front of our supporters is the most frustrating thing for us," the Brazil international said.

"A game we played better than the opponent, we didn't deserve to lose this game. It is like that sometimes. You just get half chances and the opponent scores and you have to run against time.

"But the way they defended, in the first half they just defended and kicked long balls. Second half, I think with their changes we didn't adapt quick enough - we conceded three counter attacks before the goal on the counter attack. We should have defended better in those situations.

"We should have finished the counter attacks up front, and when the ball is deeper you have to defend better in front of your box, be more aggressive.

"Hudson-Odoi had too much freedom to do whatever he wanted with the ball, dribbling inside and shooting. It was poor defending from us but we have to improve for the next games."

Forest had only 30% possession on Saturday, while Liverpool outshot them 14 to five. Though the visitors accumulated 0.6 expected goals, the Reds put up a measly tally of 0.87.

The result means Forest have won away at Anfield for the first time since 1969 and they have climbed into the Premier League's top four after inflicting a first defeat on new Liverpool head coach Arne Slot.
