Once Manchester United wrap up the Bryan Mbeumo deal, INEOS will focus on sales to raise capital for their striker pursuit.

Alejandro Garnacho has been earmarked as one to be let go, after his explosive comments on Ruben Amorim after the Europa League final proved to be the final straw.

The Portuguese tactician had reprimanded the Argentine twice before, but eventually the pair worked past their difference, but not this time.

This time the head coach wants the Carrington graduate gone, with multiple clubs chasing his signature.

Alejandro Garnacho to leave

As many as three Premier League clubs are chasing his signature including Arsenal, Chelsea and Aston Villa.

There is also interest from Al-Nassr, where his idol Cristiano Ronaldo plays, while Serie A sides are also lurking. Former United boss Erik ten Hag, who was recently appointed as Bayer Leverkusen boss, is also dreaming of a reunion.

However, the Bundesliga side will struggle to cough up the €45 million being demanded as per Bild, which means it is unlikely that we will see the United No.17 in Germany any time soon.

“Bayer has apparently also inquired about Alejandro Garnacho (20). The trend is clear: Man United wants at least €45 million, which Leverkusen is unlikely to pay for the attacking player.”

Bayer Leverkusen unlikely to afford his signing

It has also come to light that the Argentina international wants to stay in the Premier League, something that INEOS would preferably like to avoid.

It is unlikely that direct rivals will be quoted the same price as foreign clubs.

The 20-year-old’s sale will count as pure profit due to his homegrown status, and his sale could help fund the arrival of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP.

Fans will be disappointed to see Alejandro Garnacho leave, but INEOS have chosen to back the manager and hopefully, they can provide Amorim with the tools required to ensure the club enjoy a productive next season.
