Al Hilal postpone talks for Angelino | OneFootball

Angelino’s transfer to Al Hilal appears to have been put on hold.

The Saudi club have decided to postpone all talks related to Angelino until after the Club World Cup, reports Corriere dello Sport.

Initially, negotiations were progressing at a rapid pace with Al Hilal ready to satisfy the player’s contractual demands.

However, Simone Inzaghi’s new side suddenly decided to put negotiations on standby as they tried to convince Theo Hernandez one last time.

The attempt failed and thus Angelino remains a concrete target for the Saudis, but a deal is expected to be made only after the Club World Cup.

Roma, however,  expect a meeting with the club soon to understand the intentions regarding the operation, and therefore whether to continue and close it in the next few days in such a way as to allow the player to leave for medical tests and not call him up for the Giallorossi training camp at the beginning of July.

Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi also does not want to drag out the negotiations to avoid a U-turn by the Saudis who now have more time available and could turn to other objectives.

The next few hours will therefore be important to carefully evaluate the situation and understand whether the deal can really lead to an agreement. Ghisolfi hopes for the conclusion of the negotiations to be able to obtain a large capital gain by June 30 and divert the 25 million to the club’s transfer budget.
