West Ham have struck a deal to bring Kyle Macaulay from Chelsea to join Graham Potter in east London.
It was understood that during the negotiations to bring Potter to the club to replace Julen Lopetegui, it Macaulay was wanted to be part of the new era, as the new Head Coach makes his mark on the club.
The update from Hammers Chat Patreon has advised that the club are set to confirm the appointment of Macaulay this week.
“Kyle Macaulay joined Graham Potter at Ostersunds FK and then followed him to Swansea City, Brighton and then to Chelsea but will be joining West Ham United in the very near future with an announcement expected this week,” said the news exclusive.
“When Potter was sacked from Chelsea, Macaulay retained his position as a Chief Recruitment Analyst, being the link between the recruitment team and the Head Coach.
“Upon negotiations with Karren Brady, it was widely reported that Potter wanted Macaulay as part of the set up at West Ham United and the club have now agreed a deal with Chelsea to bring him to the club.”
