The agreement between Roma and Al Hilal for Angelino’s transfer fell through.
As recounted by Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, the Spanish full-back was very close to move to Saudi Arabia.
The rumored fee which the two clubs agreed on amounted to around 25 million euros.
For Roma, this would meant significant capital gain, and a crucial piece to fulfill the Financial Fair Play parameters by 30 June.
However, Angelino’s transfer is no longer on the table as Al Hilal are nearing the agreement for Theo Hernandez instead.
As a result, Di Marzio claims that Angelino could still remain at Roma if the club decide to sell someone else in order to make up for the lost capital gain.
The first name on the list of players who could depart the club instead of Angelino is Evan Ndicka.
