A disappointing defeat at Dinamo Zagreb on matchday eight cost the Rossoneri an automatic place in the Round of 16 and the Dutch side now await.
Milan have shown improvement since the appointment of ex-Porto boss Sérgio Conceição and warmed up for the contest with a 2-0 win at Empoli. However, an up-and-down season for the Italians leaves them seventh in Serie A.
Milan face a Feyenoord side under the management of interim coach Pascal Bosschaart. The Rotterdam outfit sacked manager Brian Priske this week. Priske signed a three-year contract last June after replacing Arne Slot. A decision was made to dismiss the coach with Feyenoord fifth in the Dutch top flight.
Santiago Gimenez could make his European debut for Milan against his former team. The Mexico international is set for a quick return to De Kuip, having left Feyenoord for Milan in a €32m deal last month.
Gimenez scored in the weekend win over Empoli and could replace Tammy Abraham. He remains Feyenoord’s leading scorer so far this season with 16 goals, including five in the Champions League.
Elsewhere, Yunus Musah is suspended for the clash, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Alessandro Florenzi and Emerson Royal are all sidelined. Riccardo Sottil and Warren Bondo have not been registered for the European squad with Kyle Walker, Gimenez and Joao Felix the three permitted new players after arriving in the winter window.
AC Milan predicted XI: Maignan; Walker, Tomori, Pavlovic, Hernandez; Fofana, Reijnders; Pulisic, Felix, Leao; Gimenez.
Feyenoord host AC Milan in the Champions League’s play-off round on Wednesday February 12th 2025. Kick-off at De Kuip is 20:00 GMT.
In the United Kingdom (UK), the UEFA Champions League match between Feyenoord and AC Milan will be available to watch and stream online live through TNT Sports 2.
