AC Milan preparing second offer for Strasbourg’s Guela Doué | OneFootball

According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan are preparing a second offer for RC Strasbourg Alsace’s Guela Doué (22). The older brother of Désiré Doué (20) has been in the sights of the Serie A side this summer, who are looking to replace Kyle Walker (35), who has returned to the Premier League with Burnley FC.

L’Équipe previously reported that Milan had sent a €15m offer to the Ligue 1 side for the right-back, with the player being highly valued by the new head coach, Massimiliano Allegri. However, this bid for a player with a contract lasting until 2029 was rejected.

Milan will look to return with an improved offer, with La Gazzetta suggesting that this could arrive in the next few days. However, the Italian outlet cautions that Chelsea FC’s close relationship with Strasbourg could prove to be an obstacle.

Chelsea and Strasbourg are sister clubs sharing the same owners, and the London side reportedly have an interest in Doué, and therefore would logically be heavy favourites to win the race.
