Tottenham have officially begun their foray into the summer transfer market after completing a deal for highly-rated French talent Mathys Tel.
The 20-year-old Rennes academy graduate will be on the hunt for better grazing lands in North London after his initial loan at Spurs in the 2024/25 Premier League season turned the heads of the club hierarchy, which would see them ultimately make the deal permanent for just £29.8m.
Silky on the ball and capable of being an attacking focal point at the highest level despite his age, the France U21 international could be primed to hit another gear in 2025/26 under incoming boss Thomas Frank.
And with the long-standing history of French players starring in the top flight of English football, Spurs fans are no doubt keen to see what else is in the locker of the Sarcelles-born forward.
