After a gruelling and occasionally gruesome campaign, Leicester City will have to make decisions on some players' respective futures. Even a few stars of the King Power team have let the club down overall this season. And they will have to reevaluate their playing aggression and qualities too. However, the process I refer to and will discuss focuses on appraising the backup and lesser rated personnel.
Athough some prominent underperformers may find themselves in uncertainty too if improvements aren't made. If relegated back down to the Championship - any athlete could be sold, loaned or let go for free! The Foxes are, of course, playing with fire regarding Premier League relegation. So that scenario is a distinct possibility, unfortunately.
So which LCFC players are currently on thin ice in the second half of 2024/25? What can they do to avoid being dismissed from Filbert Way? And are any of the soon-to-be mentioned footballers worth keeping or show potential?
I don't think much of the Leicester squad are immune from the microscope at present. I can only think of a quintet that would probably avoid scrutiny for the moment: Jamie Vardy (for obvious reasons), Bilal El Khannouss, Boubakary Soumary, Mads Hermansen and Abdul Fatawu.
Wilfred Ndidi would usually be on the safe list but he's been linked with moves for years. I suspect he'll eventually depart if City do indeed go down.
Two or three goalkeepers are likely to be on their way soon. Daniel Iversen and Danny Ward should have been discarded years ago.
