As part of Chivas Femenil's efforts to shore up the squad for the Apertura 2025, this Thursday the incorporation of Zoe Aguirre, a Mexican-American goalkeeper who joins the most popular and beloved team in Liga MX Femenil, was made official.
Who is Zoe Aguirre?
- The goalkeeper was born on October 3, 2000 in California.- She is 24 years old and is Mexican by birth, being the daughter of Mexican parents.- She has experience in several Liga MX Femenil teams, as she has been with Bravas de Juarez, America and Leon.
Her trajectory
- She had an outstanding formation in collegiate academies in the United States, as she played NCAA Division 1 with Eastern Kentucky University from 2018 to 2020 and with San Jose State University from 2020 to 2021. With the Kentucky team she was considered on the All-Rookie Team and with the San Jose squad she was recognized as the best goalkeeper on multiple occasions, averaging 5.22 key saves per game in her junior year. - Professionally, she has played with the aforementioned Mexican clubs, but was also part of the women's team of Boyacá Chicó of Colombia.- She has played for the Mexican National Team, since she played with the Tricolor in the U-20 World Cup in France and has even been considered to be part of the national beach soccer team.
