Arsenal will lock horns with Aston Villa at Villa Park this Saturday evening as they look to grab maximum points on their travels. The Gunners managed to earn a 4-3 win over Luton Town recently which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this game.
Mikel Arteta will set his team up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a couple of changes to his first team for this game. Both Oleksandr Zinchenko and Eddie Nketiah could get a chance to impress from the start of this match.
Defence
David Raya will operate in goal for the Gunners after shipping in three goals in his last league appearance. Gabriel will continue to function alongside William Saliba at the centre of Arsenal’s defence as they look to keep things solid at the back throughout the game.
Ben White will be a nailed-on starter at right-back while Oleksandr Zinchenko hopes to prove his worth on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will have to perform their defensive duties well if Arsenal want to keep a clean sheet on the road this weekend.
Takehiro Tomiyasu and Jakub Kiwior will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard will function as Arteta’s central midfielders as they hope to dominate possession of the ball at the centre of the park. All three of them need to be at their best if the North London club want to earn a win this Saturday.
Jorginho will have to settle for a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if Arteta opts to call upon his services.
Attack
Gabriel Martinelli will fill in as the left-sided wide player while Bukayo Saka hopes to make a difference from the right flank. Eddie Nketiah will lead the charge for the North London giants in the final third.
Gabriel Jesus is expected to get a rest on the bench despite scoring against Luton recently.
