The feeling among those around AC Milan is that Kevin Zeroli will go far in his career, and the Primavera midfielder admitted which Real Madrid player he takes inspiration from in a recent interview.

It has been a season of growth for Zeroli on several levels. In December, the young midfielder made his senior team debut after his impressive start to the season with the Primavera. However, the accolades do not stop there.

As the captain of the Youth team, the 19-year-old led the side to their first UEFA Youth League final, scoring vital goals throughout the tournament, including inspiring a late equaliser against Porto in the semi-final.

Therefore, it is understandable why the hopes for his future are so high. He is a confident central midfielder blessed with technical ability and a workhorse mentality. Above all, perhaps, he is a Milanista, so understands what the fans expect from the players and therefore expects his teammates to fulfil those expectations.

Zeroli spoke about his idol and the methods used by Abate at the Primavera Football Awards – where he won an award for the best midfielder in the Primavera league – and his words have been relayed by Radio Rossonera.

“It’s been a very positive year, we hope to get as far as possible in the play-offs. Serie A? The debut was a great emotion, at San Siro in front of all our fans. We are a very united group, a family. The coach has been very good at integrating us into the group and creating unity and solidarity. Certainly, the energy for the final stages is there.

“We give our all and work hard during the week to go as deep as possible and hopefully lift the Cup. Abate? He’s tough, quite tough, but he’s created a great group and a great bond with us. Who do I take inspiration from? Bellingham.”
