Yehvann Diouf one of three names considered by Lille in event of Lucas Chevalier exit | OneFootball

Whilst Paris Saint-Germain’s interest may have waned, a departure from Lille OSC remains a possibility for Lucas Chevalier (23). Speaking at the recent UNFP Awards in Paris, the Frenchman revealed a desire to ply his trade in the Premier League.

“The Premier League? It is the most attractive league. When you see Tottenham and Manchester United, who are struggling with crazy players [in their squads]… I have two years left on my contract, and you know the president (Olivier Létang) (laughs). I haven’t had any contacts, but it makes you think,” said the goalkeeper.

Should Chevalier leave Lille, three names are being considered, according to a report from La Voix du Nord. The first is Stade de Reims’ Yehvann Diouf (25), who has just completed an excellent campaign with Stade de Reims, despite the club’s collective difficulties. Statistically, no goalkeeper performed better than Diouf this season.

Mannone leaves Lille

Stade Brestois’ Marco Bizot (34) is another name being considered. He is expected to leave Les Ty-Zéfs this season. The third option is promising young Frenchman Guillaume Restes (20). The France youth international currently plays for Toulouse FC. Regardless of Chevalier’s future, Lille may be in the market for a goalkeeper after Vito Mannone’s (37) contract at the club expired.
